Common Concerns of Parents of Teens and PreTeens
Understanding Teens’ Behavior
The teen years are unique, their behavior and motivation driven by many factors including hormones, growing independence and their brain development.
Insightful information for parents of teens who struggle with making reasonable choices, are impulsive or emotional, and sometimes seem to forget about the obvious consequences. Why is this happening? And what can parents do about it?
Understanding Teen Life & Teen Struggles
Parents learn the most common stressors teens face today, and tools to help their teen navigate them.
It’s likely parents will be surprised by this list, particularly the top stressors. They’ll also gain insight on teens and the impact of trauma (such as divorce or substance abuse) now and into the future.
This webinar comes with additional stress management insight and tools.
Webinar attendees receive a free bonus support kit full of additional insight into the teen years.

This webinar runs approximately 45 minutes. I’m just like your audience, a busy individual with a lot of obligations, but very limited time. One of my main goals at Achieve Life Balance, was to design programs and tools as compact as possible, short, but power-packed lessons utilizing the most essential information and support.
Knowledge is power. The teen years are unique, as adolescents naturally prepare for parental separation. They’re still children, in need of guidance and support, while learning the tools necessary to become functioning adults. Add the physical challenges, emotional challenges and the fact that the teen brain won’t mature until young adulthood. All Achieve Life Balance programs created by Susan Graham, utilize verifiable, evidence-based tools and techniques.
The final price will vary depending on the needs of your business/association and audience. This includes whether you select in-person, virtual live or recorded online. Prices all vary based on distance and size of the audience. In some cases, the workshop may be available at no cost or a very low fee, particularly in cooperative/fundraising scenarios. Regardless, Susan considers family life education incredibly valuable and provides workshops at an affordable price point compared to competitors.
I’m a Certified Family Life Educator, trained and experienced in the 10 Family Life Education Content Areas. I have worked alongside teachers and administrators supporting families and youth, including classroom management. I’ve also provided court-ordered certificates for struggling families working toward regaining custody of their children for a myriad of reasons including adolescent behaviors, parental trials, divorce and custody issues.
The workshop is available in-person, as a live virtual event on your platform or Susan’s, or recorded. Contact Susan to schedule your workshop with your preferences.

Testimonials From The Home Front
What My Kids Have to Say
Yes! These are my real children. No, I did not force them, bribe them, pay them, pressure them, or anything along those lines. I asked my kids if they’d be willing to provide an honest testimonial on how they would describe the success of my parenting skills ~ after I dedicated my efforts to improve my parenting skills, earned my certification, and put my lessons to the test in the real world.
Lauren Graham, 22
Elementary Student Teacher
“My mom really changed when she started working on her certification and parenting knowledge. She became a whole different person, a better parent. I’m always asking for her classroom management advice.“
Nicole Graham, 19
Global Studies Student
“My friends tell me how lucky I am to have a mom who listens and supports me, even when we disagree. I have to admit she’s a great mom. I feel safe coming to her with almost anything.”
Brendan Graham, 15
Student
“She’s okay. Just kidding! She’s a great mom. If something goes wrong, I know I can go to her to help me figure things out.”
